The spirit of Telangana is all set to come alive in Arizona as the Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) prepares to host a grand Bathukamma and Dasara celebration for the Telugu community.
The celebrations will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the El Zaribah Shrine Auditorium in Phoenix. Organized under the theme “Culture, Tradition & Togetherness,” the event will showcase the rich culture, traditions and artistic heritage of Telangana.
The celebrations will feature Bathukamma festivities, cultural performances, traditional programs and family-friendly entertainment. Special activities are also being planned for children, along with food and refreshments. Organizers said that admission and food will be free for attendees.
Special Opportunity for Youth Volunteers
TTA Arizona is also encouraging youngsters to actively participate through its Youth Volunteer Team. Students aged 13 and above, starting from 8th grade, can volunteer at the event.
Volunteer opportunities include event setup, stage and program support, registration, guest welcome, photography, social media, food and refreshment support, kids’ activities and cleanup.
Flexible volunteer shifts will be available from 10 AM to 9 PM, giving young participants an opportunity to develop leadership skills while contributing to the community.
TTA Arizona Team Leading the Celebrations
The TTA Arizona team is playing a key role in organizing the mega celebrations. Regional Vice Presidents Anoop Kiran Godishala, Avinash Reddy Nandyala, Dinesh Reddy Sudula and Karthik Panjala are spearheading the regional efforts.
Shravan Kumar Gampa, Rama Krishna Nalla and Vasantha Sumanth are serving as Core Members, while Pankaj Padala and Pradeep Chandupatla are serving as Treasurers. Jyothi Reddy Dudipala and Praveen Samala are also contributing as members of the Board of Directors and Local Chair.
The celebrations aim to preserve and promote Telangana’s rich cultural heritage among the next generation of Telugu Americans. The TTA Arizona team has invited the Telugu community across Arizona to come together with their families and make the Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations a grand success.
