The Telangana Development Forum (TDF) Detroit Chapter successfully organized its annual Vanabhojanalu and Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at Maybury State Park – OAK Shelter in Northville, Michigan. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of Telugu families from across the Detroit metropolitan area.
The celebrations highlighted the rich culture and traditions of Telangana, bringing together community members for a day filled with fun, food, and fellowship. Traditional Telangana cuisine prepared fresh by dedicated volunteers was a major attraction, while various games and recreational activities for children and adults kept participants engaged throughout the day.
Special competitions and entertainment programs added excitement to the event, with winners receiving prizes and awards. Community members also contributed their favorite homemade dishes, creating a vibrant atmosphere of sharing and togetherness.
Under the leadership of TDF Detroit President Mahesh Burulu, along with the support of the Working Committee, Advisory Board members, and numerous volunteers, the event was organized successfully and received an overwhelming response from attendees.
Speaking on the occasion, organizers said the celebration not only marked the 12th anniversary of Telangana State Formation Day but also served as an important platform to preserve and promote Telangana’s cultural heritage while strengthening bonds within the Telugu community.
The event concluded on a high note, leaving participants with cherished memories and reinforcing TDF’s commitment to fostering community spirit and cultural pride among Telugu families in the United States.
