The Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) USA is continuing its organizational expansion across the United States. As part of this effort, the organization has officially launched a new chapter in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the country’s major centers for education, research, healthcare and technology. Dr. Yogesh Dayma has been appointed President of the new Boston Chapter.
Dr. Yogesh Dayma played a key role in establishing the Boston chapter and will lead its activities along with his team. The chapter aims to strengthen IOC-USA’s engagement with the local Indian diaspora, students, young professionals, researchers and community leaders.
Boston Chapter Launch Held in Grand Manner
The launch of the new IOC-USA Boston Chapter was held in a grand manner, with several leaders and dignitaries attending the event as chief guests. Government Whip of Telangana, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), and TPCC General Secretary Dr. Addanki Dayakar was among the prominent guests who attended the program.
During the event, the leaders extended their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Yogesh Dayma, who played a key role in establishing the Boston Chapter and has taken charge as its newly appointed President, along with the newly formed executive committee.
The leaders expressed their best wishes for the successful functioning of the new chapter and emphasized the importance of strengthening IOC-USA’s engagement with the Indian-American community in the Boston region.
They also highlighted the need to involve students, youth, young professionals, researchers and community leaders in the organization’s activities and to further expand community outreach initiatives.
Two-Year Term as President
According to the appointment letter issued by IOC-USA President Mohinder Singh Giljian, Dr. Yogesh Dayma has been appointed President of the Boston, Massachusetts Chapter for a two-year term beginning June 26, 2026.
The appointment took effect immediately. The appointment letter also states that a performance review will be conducted six months after he assumes the responsibilities.
Membership expansion, community outreach, youth participation and stronger engagement with the local Indian-American community are expected to be among the key priorities for the Boston Chapter.
Why Boston Matters to IOC-USA
Boston is home to several leading universities, research institutions, hospitals and technology companies. The region also has a large population of Indian students, researchers, doctors, technology professionals and other members of the professional community.
