The North American Telugu Society (NATS) Tampa Bay Team successfully organized a Stress Management Session on July 11, bringing together community members for an informative and engaging program focused on mental well-being and healthy living.
The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Rajesh Kandru, who introduced NATS and highlighted the organization's various community-focused initiatives, setting the stage for a meaningful session.
The keynote speaker, K. Gopalan, Founder of CHANGE – A Learning Center for Personal and Organizational Change Management, was introduced by Mr. Vikram Nandyala. During his address, Mr. Gopalan expressed his gratitude to NATS Chairman Kishore Kancharla, NATS President Raj Allada, the NATS Tampa Bay Team, and Dr. Mallikarjuna Nandyala for inviting him to share his expertise with the community.
The session attracted a diverse audience, including teenagers, working professionals, and homemakers, whose active participation and personal experiences enriched the discussions.
Mr. Gopalan covered several important topics, including understanding stress and its physical and emotional impact, identifying different types of stressors such as everyday challenges, long-term pressures, and unexpected life events, and adopting healthy coping mechanisms. He also shared practical strategies such as breathing exercises, effective time management, positive thinking, and lifestyle modifications that can help individuals manage stress more effectively.
Designed as an interactive program, the session encouraged participants to recognize their own stress patterns and apply practical techniques in their daily lives. Teenagers related to academic and social pressures, professionals discussed workplace stress, while homemakers appreciated the emphasis on emotional balance and self-care.
The event was attended by NATS Tampa Bay core team members Anu Kotha, Srinivas Malladi (BOD), Rajesh Kandru (VP – Programs), Sudheer Mikkilineni (EC Secretary), Ramesh Kolli, Sumanth Ramineni, Vijay Katta, Suresh Bojja, Naveen Medikonda, Anil Aremada, Ravi Kalidindi, Sanjay Konda, and Sireesha Doddapaneni.
The NATS Tampa Bay Team also expressed its sincere appreciation to MuraliKrishna Medicherala (Executive Secretary – Media), Kishore Nare (Executive Secretary – Web), and Sravan Kumar Nidiganti (National Coordinator – Media Relations) for their valuable media support and marketing cooperation.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by the felicitation of the guest speaker with a traditional garlanding ceremony and a group photo session, bringing a meaningful and impactful community event to a warm close.
