A delegation from the American Telugu Association (ATA) met former minister and senior BRS leader Harish Rao and invited him to attend the 19th ATA Telugu Conference, scheduled to be held in Maryland, USA, on July 31, August 1, and August 2, 2026, as a chief guest.

During the meeting, ATA President Jayanth Challa briefed Harish Rao on the conference arrangements, planned events, and the participation of Telugu people living abroad. The discussion also focused on the social and cultural activities of the Telugu community in the United States.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that Telangana had emerged as one of the leading states in the country during the ten years of BRS governance. He noted that the contribution of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) had played a significant role in the state's development.

He also recalled the support extended by NRIs during the Telangana movement, stating that Telugu people living in the United States helped strengthen the movement and effectively projected public sentiment at both national and international levels.

Those who met Harish Rao included ATA President Jayanth Challa, National Coordinator Sharath Vemula, India Coordinator Venu Sankineni, and Eshwar Banda, among others.

The ATA delegation stated that Harish Rao responded positively to the invitation and expressed his willingness to participate in the prestigious Telugu conference.
