Preparations are in full swing for the 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) Convention, one of the largest gatherings of the Telugu diaspora in the United States. The prestigious event is scheduled to be held in Baltimore, Maryland, from July 31 to August 2, 2026.

As part of the convention outreach efforts, an ATA delegation led by President Jayanth Challa met Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and Member of Parliament D. K. Aruna, formally inviting them to attend the mega event.

During the meetings, the ATA team briefed the leaders on the significance of the convention, its planned activities, and the large-scale participation expected from Telugu communities across North America. The delegation also requested the support of the Ministry of Tourism in setting up a special India Tourism Pavilion at the convention venue. Such an initiative, they noted, would help showcase India's rich cultural heritage, tourism destinations, and traditions to thousands of NRIs and international attendees.

Speaking on the occasion, ATA President Jayanth Challa said the convention would not only celebrate Telugu culture and heritage but also honor distinguished individuals from various fields who have made significant contributions to society across India and beyond.

The invitation delegation included National Coordinator Sharath Vemula, Conference Coordinator Tirumala Reddy, and other key ATA representatives. Organizers are working extensively to make the Baltimore convention one of the most successful and memorable events in ATA's history.
