Srisailam: Devotees continue to express their faith and devotion through offerings at the renowned Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam. In a recent gesture of devotion, a family from Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh donated a silver Naga Bharanam weighing 2.610 kilograms to the temple.
The intricately crafted ornament, featuring a five-headed serpent design, was formally presented by devotee Dinesh and his family members at the temple's Ashirvachana Mandapam. Temple priests and officials received the offering in the presence of devotees and staff.
Following the donation, temple authorities honored the donor family with Vedic blessings and presented them with sacred prasadam and ceremonial cloths as a mark of appreciation for their contribution.
The silver Naga Bharanam is expected to be used in temple rituals and is regarded as a symbol of the devotees’ unwavering faith in Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy. Its artistic design and religious significance have drawn the attention of devotees visiting the shrine.
Srisailam Temple, one of the most revered Shaivite pilgrimage centers in India, regularly receives donations of gold, silver, and other valuable offerings from devotees across the country. Such contributions are considered expressions of gratitude and devotion toward the presiding deity.
Temple officials thanked the donor family for their generous offering and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the family under the blessings of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba.
