A sudden change in weather brought relief to residents of Hyderabad on Saturday evening as several parts of the city witnessed rainfall after a hot and humid day.
Areas including Uppal, Habsiguda, Nacharam, Boduppal, and Peerzadiguda received moderate showers accompanied by thunder and gusty winds. The rainfall brought down temperatures and provided much-needed respite from the prevailing heat conditions.
However, waterlogging was reported at a few low-lying locations, causing minor inconvenience to commuters during peak evening hours. Traffic movement was also affected in some stretches due to reduced visibility and wet road conditions.
According to weather experts, conditions remain favorable for the gradual strengthening of the southwest monsoon over Telangana. More rainfall activity is expected across several districts in the coming days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that while rainfall may remain below normal in some parts of the state over the next couple of weeks, weather patterns could become more active toward the end of the month, increasing the chances of widespread showers.
