Team India star opener Smriti Mandhana created history in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 in Dubai. In the Group A match against Hong Kong, Mandhana produced a sensational century, smashing several records and putting India in a commanding position.
Mandhana scored a breathtaking 124 runs off just 64 balls, smashing 14 boundaries and seven massive sixes. Her explosive innings helped India post a formidable 193/5 in 20 overs.
With this century, Mandhana achieved another major milestone in women’s international cricket. She became the highest run-scorer in women’s international cricket, surpassing legendary Indian batter Mithali Raj, who had held the record until now.
Mandhana also created history by becoming the woman cricketer with the most international centuries, adding yet another remarkable achievement to her illustrious career.
Earlier, Hong Kong captain Natasha Miles won the toss and elected to field. However, Mandhana came out all guns blazing from the very beginning, taking on the Hong Kong bowlers and keeping the scoreboard moving with a flurry of boundaries and sixes.
Her spectacular knock powered India to a huge total and once again underlined Mandhana’s status as one of the biggest stars in women’s cricket.
