The Dallas Area Rayalaseema Association (DARA) successfully organized its 5K Walk & Run 2026 at the Warren Sports Complex in Frisco, Texas, bringing together hundreds of community members, families, and volunteers for a morning dedicated to fitness, wellness, and community service.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of all ages and successfully raised funds to support orphanages and old-age homes, reaffirming DARA's commitment to serving the community through meaningful charitable initiatives.

A major highlight of the event was the Free Health Camp, organized in partnership with Passion Health Advanced Primary Care. Community members received complimentary BMI, Blood Pressure (BP), ECG, and HbA1c diabetes screenings, along with general medical consultations. The initiative was especially beneficial for parents and relatives visiting from India, while female physicians were available to provide dedicated healthcare consultations for women.

The grand success of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the DARA Executive Committee, Advisory & Steering Committee, Board Members, volunteers, sponsors, and every member of the association. Their teamwork, commitment, and meticulous planning ensured the smooth execution of both the fundraising event and the free health camp.

DARA leaders thanked all participants, healthcare professionals, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters for making the event a resounding success. The association reaffirmed its mission to promote community service, health awareness, unity, and charitable giving, and looks forward to organizing many more impactful initiatives for the Dallas-area Telugu and Rayalaseema community.
