Trump Administration Proposes More Than $100,000 Fee for H-1B Worker Visas
The Trump administration has proposed a $103,265 fee on new H-1B visa petitions, seeking to establish through regulation a charge that was previously introduced by presidential proclamation. A federal judge blocked the earlier $100,000 fee in June, and legal challenges are continuing. The new DHS proposal will undergo a 30-day public-comment period before the administration can consider a final rule.
