Yash’s much-awaited action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is generating strong buzz at the Hindi box office ahead of its theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
The film has sold approximately 136,000–137,000 tickets across the two major national cinema chains, PVR INOX and Cinepolis, for its opening day, according to trade estimates.
Advance Booking Targets 2 Lakh

Trade analysts consider that a promising advance for a standalone pan-India release in the Hindi market.
Yash Returns After Four Years
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic marks Yash’s return to the big screen after a gap of around four years.
The film features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash. The movie is positioned as a large-scale gangster action drama with a distinctive visual world.
Opening Day Expectations
The strong advance booking has raised expectations for a sizeable opening at the Hindi box office.
However, the final opening-day performance will also depend on spot bookings and audience response after the film reaches theatres. A positive response could further accelerate ticket sales.
A Crucial Release for Yash
Mounted on a large scale by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is considered an important release for Yash following the massive success of the KGF franchise.
The film’s theatrical performance will be closely tracked as Yash returns to cinemas after his extended break.
