A team from the Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police Station, which is probing the case, reached TG Mohandas' residence at Koovappadam near Mattancherry on Sunday evening along with officials from the local police station.

According to the Chief Minister's travel schedule shared with the media, Shivakumar is scheduled to attend a meeting with senior Supreme Court advocates at Karnataka Bhavan after arriving in the national capital.

The students' objection centres the Supreme Court's reported refusal to urgently list a plea concerning the police action against protesters during the "Chalo Sansad" demonstration at Jantar Mantar on July 20.

"All of us should take care, whether knowingly or unknowingly - and I don't believe he said it knowingly, nor is he likely to say it intentionally - to refrain from making such remarks," KC Venugopal said

The proposed centre at Naugajan village, spread over around 10.5 acres, is estimated to cost about Rs 100 crore and will have a research and study facility focusing on the life and teachings of Guru Ravidas.

Alleging that vested interests were working at full force to disrupt democracy in the state, he said the students' stir should not be politicised and warned those harbouring political ambitions against misguiding youths.
