Khandwa district collector Rishav Gupta said that while an engineer who was responsible for clearing out some debris near the tank and covering it with a lid has been suspended, the administration has also found negligence on part of a private lodge in the area and is mulling legal action against both.



The statement made it clear that the “legal process for withdrawal of all FIRs, criminal complaints and show-cause notices” against individuals who took part in the protests “will be initiated immediately”



The cases involve long-pending paper leak issues relating to Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) MLA Bedi Ram and Nishad Party MLA Vipul Dubey, both allies of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh

The Supreme Court said it will hear on Tuesday (July 28, 2026) multiple petitions concerning the nationwide protests over examination paper leaks, including those alleging police excesses during the July 20 Parliament march led by the Cockroach Janta Party








According to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the incident occurred at around 5.50 p.m. on a platform at Huskur Road Metro Station.
