A senior official, requesting anonymity, said that 51.24 lakh farmers have collectively availed loans exceeding Rs 72,000 crore. Of these, 43.63 lakh are unique farmers. These farmers have availed loans from 53 financial institutions, including District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) and nationalised banks
